Norman Mangus, 67 [Update]

Norman Mangus, a 67-year-old white man, was found strangled Friday, March 23, in the 20400 block of Roslin Avenue in Torrance, according to the Torrance Police Department.

Police discovered Mangus' body Friday night when they responded to a call to check on him at his home.

Several days after the finding, authorities arrested two people in connection with the death.

Joshua Alfano, a 20-year-old Filipino man, and Morgan Delange, an 18-year-old white man, were arrested Monday morning, according to the Torrance Police Department.

The two assailants allegedly robbed and strangled Mangus, officials said. Sgt. Steven Jenkinson said police believe one of the suspects knew the victim.

Alfano and Delange are being held without bail. Their next court appearance is scheduled for March 28 at the Torrance Municipal Court.
