Rahmir Alexander Williams, 29

Rahmir Williams, a 29-year-old black man, was shot and killed Friday, Dec. 24, near Vanowen Street and Sylmar Avenue in Van Nuys, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Williams was headed east on Vanowen when shots were fired into his vehicle just after 1 a.m., police said. The car continued down the street until it hit a fence.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, said LAPD Officer Reggie Taylor.

It was unclear whether the shooting was gang-related. Police do not have any suspect or vehicle descriptions.
