Ramon Barrientos, 28

Ramon Barrientos, a 28-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Tuesday, Aug. 25 near Ithaca Avenue and Haven Street in El Sereno, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Barrientos was standing on a street corner about 1:40 a.m.,  when a person walked up and shot him multiple times, LAPD Det. Jose Ramirez said. Residents heard gunshots and called 911, and when police arrived they found Barrientos on the ground.

Barrientos was pronounced dead at 1:52 a.m. on the sidewalk, according to coroner’s records. Police are looking for witnesses.
