Raymond Sweet, 47 [Updated]

Raymond Sweet, a 47-year-old white man, was found dead Friday, April 15, in the 600 block of Wall Street in downtown Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Sweet's body was discovered about 7:30 a.m. in a single-occupancy-room skid row hotel near the Central L.A. police station, officials said.

Lt. Paul Vernon of the Los Angeles Police Department said initial information led detectives to believe Sweet died of blunt-force trauma.

Anyone with information about Sweet's death is asked to call Det. Brian Putnam at the Central Homicide Unit at (213) 972-1257. Tipsters who would like to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
