Rodell Revels Jr., 32

Rodell Revels Jr., a 32-year-old black man, died Sunday, Oct. 6, after he was shot in a vehicle near West 105th street and Denker Avenue in Westmont, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.

Revels was sitting in a parked car with Duwan Arvaden McKeever, 24, Oct. 5 about 10 p.m. when a person walked up to the car and shot both men, said Lt. Dave Dolson with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

There was a large party going on nearby, and Dolson said he did not know whether the two men were “coming, going or staying.”

Revels died at 1:34 the next morning, according to coroner’s records. McKeever died at the scene.
