Rodin Danilo Flores Ulloa, 29

Rodin Flores Ulloa, a 29-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Tuesday, April 19, in the 700 block of East 87th Street in Green Meadows, according to police and coroner’s records.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m., Ulloa drove to the area in a truck to pick up a 29-year-old man. While he was there, he got into a dispute with another man outside, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido. The neighbor got a weapon and shot Flores and the other man, Garrido said.

The shooting was the result of a “long-standing neighbor dispute,” he said.

The 29-year-old is expected to survive. Ulloa was pronounced dead at the scene.

Juan Rodriguez, a 47-year-old Latino, was arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.

Rodriguez has pleaded not guilty to one count of murder and one count of attempted murder, according to a spokeswoman from the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Rodriguez is scheduled to return to court May 11 in Department D of the Compton Courthouse.
