Sabrina Mari Barcenas, 19

Sabrina Mari Barcenas, a 19-year-old Latina, died Monday, Nov. 14, after being fatally shot in the 3400 block of East Florence Avenue in Huntington Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

About 9:30 p.m. Nov. 7, Huntington Park police responded to calls about a gunshot victim near a baseball diamond, according to Sgt. Joe Settles. Officers found Barcenas lying on a table with several gunshot wounds.

Barcenas was taken to a hospital and placed on life support, Settles said. She was pronounced dead at  10:01 p.m. on Nov. 14, according to coroner’s records. 

Investigators believe Barcenas was with several other people in the park when the gunman opened fire. The gunman was described as Latino with a slim build; 5 feet, 5 inches tall; wearing dark pants. He was last seen in a green sedan.
