Sean Shaw, 30

Sean Shaw, a 30-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sunday, May 27, in the 11700 block of Success Avenue in Willowbrook, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Shaw was walking on the sidewalk about 1:24 a.m. when unknown persons approached him and asked, "Where are you from?"

At that point, Shaw was shot, Winter said, and the suspects fled.

Authorities were called and the victim was taken to a hospital in Lynwood where he was pronounced dead at 1:57 a.m.

Winter had no other details about the case.
