Tae Kyung Sung, a 31-year-old Korean man, was fatally stabbed Sunday, July 30, in the 1100 block of South Menlo Avenue in Pico-Union, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 5 a.m., Los Angeles police officers were called to an apartment and found Mison Yoo, a 26-year-old Asian woman, walking around inside, said LAPD Lt. John Radtke.

Officers found Yoo covered in blood and Sung in a back room suffering from stab wounds, police said.

Sung was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:20 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Police said that Yoo was intoxicated at the time of the killing, but she gave a statement to police.

Yoo said she had had domestic violence problems with Sung in the past, but police said there were no reports on file.

Yoo was charged Aug. 1 with one count of murder, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. She is due back in court Aug. 21 for an arraignment.
