Tayshaun Martell Craig, 29

Tyshaun Martell Craig, a 29-year-old black man, was shot and killed Tuesday, March 14, in the 6400 block of Brynhurst Avenue in Hyde Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 8:20 p.m., Craig was standing in the street when a black BMW drove by and a person inside opened fire, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido. The car was then driven away southbound on Bryhurst Avenue.

Craig was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:24 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Police are looking for witnesses.
