Brian Fitzgerald Coleman, 46

Brian Fitzgerald Coleman, a 46-year-old black man, died Monday, April 2, in the 1400 block of West Florence Avenue in Manchester Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

[Editor's note: An earlier version of this post, based on information from the coroner's office, incorrectly identified the victim as an unknown Latino.]

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said witnesses heard the victim get into an argument followed by three gunshots late Sunday evening.

Authorities were called and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at midnight.

Winter had no other information about the case.
