A story for every victim

Vidal Rebolledo, 34

Vidal Hernandez Rebolledo, 23, and Victor Manuel Farias, 25, and his brother Jose Alfredo Farias, 24, all Latinos, were shot and killed about 11:35 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at Imperial Highway and Western Avenue in Westmont.

Jose Farias was pronounced dead at the scene. Victor Farias and Rebolledo were taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where Victor Farias was pronounced dead. Rebolledo died the next day.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said all three men were at a cruising event when an argument broke out between one of the three men and a Latino man, who pulled out a gun and began shooting. The two brothers and Rebolledo were hit by gunfire.

Witnesses told deputies that they saw the gunman fleeing in a dark-colored vehicle. Authorities did not have a description of the vehicle or shooter, except that he was a Latino man.

A fourth man also was struck by gunfire. He recovered at an area hospital from his gunshot wound.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call detectives at the sheriff's homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500(323) 890-5500. Callers can remain anonymous.
