Brandon Nicholas Burris, a 25-year-old black male, died Sunday, Feb. 2, after being shot near the 19900 block of Golden Valley Road in Santa Clarita, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Sigfredo Martin Arias Jr., a 42-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, Feb. 1, in the 1300 block of West 2nd Street in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Coroner’s records.
About 7 p.m., police responded to multiple calls of a traffic collision with shots fired in the area, according to a statement from the Pomona Police Department.
Officers arrived and discovered that a vehicle had crashed into a tree, police said.
Arias and another person were suffering from gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital.
Arias was pronounced dead at 7:48 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
It’s unclear how Arias was shot. Police did not release additional information.

Santiago Pablo Ornelas, a 33-year-old Latino male, died Saturday, Feb. 1, after being shot near 6307 Aldama St. in Highland Park, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Ming Yang, a 53-year-old Asian male, died Friday, Jan. 31, after being stabbed near the 1100 block of College View Drive in Monterey Park, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Marc-Antony Ramirez Sr., a 55-year-old Latino, died Friday, Jan. 31, after he was stabbed in the 6700 block of Paramount Boulevard in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Coroner’s records.
About 1 a.m. on Jan. 5, Ramirez was discovered in an alley with injuries to his upper torso, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Ramirez was taken to a hospital. He was pronounced dead Jan. 31 at 10:02 a.m., according to the coroner’s office.
Police are looking for additional witnesses to the stabbing.

Gus Bolanos Jr., a 30-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Friday, Jan. 31, in the 200 block of West Anaheim Street in Wilmington, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
About 11:52 a.m., Bolanos was in the passenger seat of a parked car when a man approached him and shot him multiple times, said Los Angeles Police Det. Julie Scruggs.
Bolanos was pronounced dead at 12:05 p.m. at the scene, according to coroner’s records.
The suspect was identified by detectives as Jose Gonzalez Ruiz, a 29-year-old Latino, Scruggs said. He is the ex-husband of Bolanos' girlfriend, Scruggs said.
Gonzalez Ruiz was charged Feb. 6 with one count of murder with gun allegations, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office and court records.
Gonzalez Ruiz has pleaded not guilty and is due back in court March 12.

Davion Davon Martin, a 25-year-old black man, was fatally stabbed Wednesday, Jan. 29, in the 4000 block of West Century Boulevard in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner’s records.
At about 10:50 p.m., officers from the Inglewood Police Department responded to a call of a fight in the area, according to the department.
When police arrived, Martin was on the ground. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:27 p.m.
Coroner’s records showed he was stabbed. Police said the motive was unknown.

Eduardo Diaz Rojas, a 45-year-old Latino male, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, after being shot near 456 E. 42nd Place in Historic South-Central, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Julian James Taylor, a 29-year-old black man, was fatally shot on Tuesday, Jan. 28, outside a fast food restaurant at the Antelope Valley Mall in the 1200 block of West Rancho Vista Boulevard in Palmdale, according to Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner records.
Taylor met a man in the parking lot of Carl's Jr., 1031 W. Ave. P, at the southeast corner of the mall property, about 8:25 p.m., when the meeting went bad, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt Barry Hall.
"There was a shooting in the parking lot that we believe was a drug deal gone bad," Hall said. "The victim was outside of his car when he was shot and the suspect fled in his own car."

Bryan Jerome Woodson, a 35-year-old black man, was shot and killed Tuesday, Jan. 28, near West Oxnard Street and Aldea Avenue in Encino, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 10:15 p.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Valley Division responded to a call of shots fired at Lake Balboa Park, according to a news release from the department.
Officers arrived and found Woodson suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso, police said.
Woodson was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:45 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Witnesses told police that there was an argument between Woodson and another person in the moments before the shooting.
Woodson was homeless and slept in the park, police said.
