Daniel Jay Johnson, a 35-year-old Black male, died Monday, Oct. 5, after being shot near South Mona Boulevard & East 124th Street in Willowbrook, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Samuel Inzunza, a 30-year-old Latino male, died Monday, Oct. 5, after being shot near 11th & Albany streets in Pico-Union, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Jake Everett Lopez, a 29-year-old Latino male, died Monday, Oct. 5, after being shot near 621 Spence St. in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Bryce Michael Jordan, a 38-year-old Black male, died Monday, Oct. 5, after being shot near 5770 Obama Blvd. in Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Curtis Brandt DeTurk, a 27-year-old white man, was shot and killed Sunday, Oct. 4, in the 11300 block of West Magnolia Boulevard in North Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
About 10:30 p.m., officers from the North Hollywood Division of the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon and found DeTurk on the ground outside a pizza shop, said LAPD Det. Steve Castro.
DeTurk, who was homeless, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators said that DeTurk was outside the pizza shop with a few others and asked a passerby for some change, Castro said. The two exchanged words and the man pulled out a gun and shot DeTurk.
Police identified the suspect as River Harris, a 24-year-old Black man. Harris has been charged with one count of murder, according to court records.

Nakia Anthony Pierson, a 44-year-old Black man, was shot and killed Sunday, Oct. 4, in the 500 block of South Ward Avenue in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
About 12:45 a.m., deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of shots fired in the area and found Pierson inside a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to a news release from authorities.
Pierson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Robert Walter Rucker, a 50-year-old Black man, was shot and killed Saturday, Oct. 3, in the 100 block of West 111th Street in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood of Los Angeles, according to L.A. County medical examiner-coroner’s records.
At 2:05 p.m., Rucker was standing in front of a home with two other men when a person walked up and began shooting, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri.
All three men were struck. Rucker was pronounced dead at the scene, and the two others were taken to a hospital. They were expected to recover, police said.
The gunman ran from the area.

Andrew Ellis Aguilar, a 16-year-old Latino, died Friday, Oct. 2, after he was shot near North Caswell and East Lincoln avenues in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
About 11 p.m. on Oct. 1, Pomona police officers responded to a call of gunshots heard in the area and found Andrew suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a news release from police.
Andrew was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:36 p.m. on Oct. 2, according to coroner’s records.
Police said the motive for the shooting hasn’t been determined. On a fundraising page, Andrew’s sister wrote that the teenager was killed a block away from his home.
