Marlon Eric Birdine, a 48-year-old black male, died Wednesday, May 20, after being shot near 521 S. San Pedro St. in Downtown, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Enrique Gomez, a 50-year-old Latino male, died Wednesday, May 20, after being stabbed near 10024 Valley Blvd. in El Monte, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Teodik Atanes, a 20-year-old white male, died Wednesday, May 20, after being shot near 4432 San Fernando Road in Glendale, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Sarah Jackson, a 58-year-old Black female, died Wednesday, May 20, after being stabbed near 45th Street & San Pedro Place in South Park, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Heriberto Barba Rodriguez, a 48-year-old Latino male, died Monday, May 18, after being shot near 720 W. Compton Blvd. in Compton, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Anthony Zepeda, a 28-year-old Latino male, died Sunday, May 17, after being shot near West Cameron Avenue & West Garvey Avenue North in West Covina, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Fanuel Pineda, a 53-year-old Latino male, died Sunday, May 17, after being shot near 1436 E. 22nd St. in Central-Alameda, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Enrique Sebastian Falcon, a 10-year-old Latino male, died Sunday, May 17, after being shot near North Hacienda Boulevard & Amar Road in La Puente, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Austin Thang Thai, a 22-year-old Asian man, was shot and killed Saturday, May 16, in the 1600 block of Gaviota Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.

About 12:30 a.m., officers from the Long Beach Police Department responded to a call about shots fired in the area, according to a news release from the department. 

Officers found Thai in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle with gunshot wounds. Thai was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Witnesses told police that a man was seen running from the scene after the gunshots. 

An online fundraiser set up for funeral costs described Thai as a kind and humble person, and an only child.
