Raymundo Aaron Ceja, a 32-year-old Latino male, died Sunday, March 1, after being shot by law enforcement near 23700 Magic Mountain Parkway in Santa Clarita, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Steven Lashaun Phipps, a 37-year-old black man, was shot and killed Saturday, Feb. 29, in the 900 block of South Western Avenue in Koreatown, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Shortly before 6:42 p.m., Phipps was walking in the area when a person walked up to him and shot him, said Los Angeles Police Det. Sean Kinchla.
The shooter left in a vehicle, but a description was not available. Kinchla said the motive was unclear.
Milton Orantes, a 27-year-old Latino, was charged March 5 with one count of murder, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office and court records.
Orantes also faces an allegation that he intentionally discharged a gun, according to prosecutors.

Christopher Damian Scorza, a 25-year-old black man, died Saturday, Feb. 29, after he was shot in the 1700 block of South Rimpau Boulevard in Mid-City, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
On Feb. 28 at 11:40 p.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Wilshire Division responded to a call of a victim down in the parking lot of an apartment complex, said LAPD Det. Sean Kinchla.
Officers found Scorza and another man wounded. Both were taken to a hospital.
Scorza was pronounced dead on Feb. 29 at 1:02 a.m., according to coroner's records.
Police believe that one person walked up to Scorza and the man and shot them. Kinchla did not release a suspect or vehicle description.

Elijah Brown, a 16-year-old black teenager, was shot and killed Saturday, Feb. 29, in the 11800 block of South Main Street in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
About 8:25 p.m., Elijah was standing in a liquor store when a person outside walked up, pointed a gun through the doorway and fired, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri.
Elijah was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
The shooter ran south on South Main Street, police said.
It’s unknown why the person shot at Elijah.

Omie Jackson, a 26-year-old black female, died Friday, Feb. 28, after being shot near 42bd Street & South Western Avenue in Vermont Square, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Jose Luis Acevedo-Jaimes, a 23-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the 200 block of North Cabrillo Avenue in San Pedro, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
About 1:30 a.m., Acevedo-Jaimes was walking east on Sepulveda to a liquor store when a person walked up to him, shot him and fled, said Los Angeles Police Det. Julie Scruggs. Residents in the area heard the gunshots and called police.
Acevedo-Jaimes was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:20 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
Detectives are looking for witnesses.

Michael Gonzalez, a 17-year-old Latino male, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, after being shot near 869 W. 41st St. in Vermont Square, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Christian David Silva, a 28-year-old Latino, died Saturday, Feb. 22, after he was shot near the intersection of 167th Street and Clarkdale Avenue in Artesia, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner records.
Silva, a tattoo artist from La Habra, had been visiting a friend's home in Artesia the evening of Feb. 21, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Barry Hall.
He was driving home alone shortly after midnight when someone on the sidewalk fired into his car, Hall said. The gunfire struck Silva in the head, causing him to lose control of his car, which crashed into a fence at the intersection, Hall said.
Silva was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead the following afternoon at 2:22 p.m., according to coroner's records. The cause of death was listed as a gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators don't have a description of the shooter, Hall said. Silva was not involved …
Omar Medina, a 27-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, Feb. 22, in the 12700 block of Montague Street in Pacoima, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
About 12:20 a.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill Division responded to a call of a shooting and found Medina suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the department.
Medina was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:29 a.m., according to coroner's records.
Another man who was shot was taken to a hospital.
Police said that both Medina and the other man were at a party where cockfighting was taking place in the backyard. During the event, an argument broke out between at least two people, which led to the shooting.
When police arrived, witnesses had already left. Police found several dead roosters in the yard.
