Byron Keith Hill, a 55-year-old black male, died Friday, Oct. 4, after being shot in Vernon, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Julio Martinez, a 58-year-old Latino male, died Thursday, Oct. 3, after being shot in Downtown, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Joseph Dennis Bongarzone, a 65-year-old white male, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, after sustaining blunt force trauma near 410 Broadway in Santa Monica, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Noel Cabrera, a 31-year-old Latino, was fatally stabbed Wednesday, Oct. 2 in the 6700 block of Tujunga Avenue in North Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.

About 7 p.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon at a hostel in the area, said LAPD Det. Gabe Bucknell.

Cabrera, suffering from a stab wound to the left leg, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:10 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Detectives determined that Cabrera got into argument with another person staying at the hostel who accused Cabrera of stealing.

The argument escalated when the other person pulled out a folding knife, police said. Cabrera was stabbed, then the assailant fled in a black 2019 Nissan Sentra.

Maximilian Paniagua, a Latino male, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, after sustaining blunt force trauma.

Jose Juan Ahumada, a 24-year-old person, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, after being shot.

Daniel Tagnori Uribe, a 38-year-old Latino male, died Sunday, Sept. 29, after being shot near 10917 Long Beach Blvd. at 10917 Long Beach Blvd., according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

David De Jesus Hernandez, a 24-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, Sept. 28, in the 700 block of South Serrano Avenue in Koreatown, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.

Shortly before 3:15 a.m., Hernandez was in the stairwell of an apartment building when he was shot by two people, said Los Angeles Police Det. Sean Kinchla.

The two assailants fled in a white sedan, police said.

Hernandez was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:02 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Eusebia Elizabeth Cabrera Benitez, a 32-year-old Latino female, died Saturday, Sept. 28, after being stabbed.

Adrian Dewayne Johnson, a 23-year-old black man, was shot and killed Friday, Sept. 27, in the 100 block of South Ash Avenue in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Shortly before 2 a.m., officers were called to the area regarding a shooting and found Johnson in the backyard of a home, suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the Inglewood Police Department. 

Johnson was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:55 a.m., according to coroner's records.

Police did not release additional information about the shooting. The motive is unknown.

Kymecha Coleman, Johnson's mother, said her son grew up in Inglewood and attended Inglewood High School. Johnson was the older of two children, Coleman said.

"I miss looking at those eyes and those dimples," she said. "He had beautiful dimples. He didn't even have to smile."

Martyne Elizabeth "Dr. Beth" Bonzo, also known as Martyne Dykes-Bonzo, a 45-year-old white woman, was pronounced dead on Thursday, Sept. 26, after she was stabbed and struck with a heavy object in the 27800 block of Palmeras Place in Rancho Palos Verdes, according to Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner records. 

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies found Bonzo lying alone in her home with traumatic injuries after a family member requested a welfare check, said Lt.  Derrick Alfred. 

Bonzo was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:34 p.m., according to coroner's records. The cause of death is listed as sharp and blunt-force injuries of the neck and head. 

Bonzo, a physical therapist who owned Coast Physical Therapy in Rancho Palos Verdes, lived in the home with her husband, Antonio Lopez Jr., 48, a private-practice defense attorney in Rancho Palos Verdes and former deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles …

Christian Albert Markee, a 27-year-old Latino male, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, after being stabbed near the 13300 block of Telegraph Road in South Whittier, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Carter Perez, a 10-year-old white male, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, in Redondo Beach, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Raymond Hernandez, a 63-year-old Latino male, died Monday, Sept. 23, after being shot in Wilmington, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Jean Carlos Delarosa, a 24-year-old Latino, died Sunday, Sept. 22, after he was shot in the 18200 block of Sugarman Street in Tarzana, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.

About 10:40 p.m. on Sept. 21, Delarosa and a friend were sitting in a dark-colored Rolls-Royce that was parked in a driveway in the area when three men approached with a gun and “demanded their property,” according to police.

Delarosa was shot multiple times and the three men fled in a “SUV-type” vehicle, said Los Angeles Police Det. Steve Castro.

The other person in the car was not injured.

Delarosa was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:55 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

The home where the shooting occurred was being rented out as an Airbnb, police said.
