Darnay Scott, a 23-year-old black man, was stabbed to death Thursday, March 16, in the 600 block of San Julian Street in downtown Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 10:45 a.m., Scott was standing in the area when he got into an argument with a person who pulled out a knife and stabbed him, said Los Angeles Police Det. Doug Pierce.

Scott was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe the suspect was another black man but do not yet have a complete description.

Emma G. Rodriguez-Estrada, a 23-year-old Latina, was shot and killed Thursday, March 16, in the 11600 block of South Towne Avenue in Green Meadows, according to  Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., Rodriguez-Estrada left the apartment complex where she lived to meet her estranged husband, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido.

Rodriguez-Estrada and the man, who was sitting in his sedan, got into an argument, and the man got out of his car, chased the woman and shot her, Garrido said.

Police suspect Andres Zambrano, a 26-year-old Latino, is responsible for the shooting, Garrido said. Zambrano fled after the shooting and has not yet been found, Garrido said. He was last seen in a white four-door Toyota Camry.

Marco Antonio Cardona, a 55-year-old Latino male, died Thursday, March 16, after sustaining blunt force trauma.

Jose Hignacio Peralta, a 23-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, March 15, in the 10500 block of Grandee Avenue in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 12:15 a.m., Peralta was walking with his girlfriend when a car almost struck the woman, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido.

The driver of a black sedan attempted to apologize and got into an argument with Peralta, Garrido said.

The driver left, then returned accompanied by a white sedan, Garrido said. A gunman exited the white car and opened fire on Peralta, who was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:35 a.m., according to coroner’s records. 

The woman was not injured. The shooter ran away southbound on Grandee Avenue.

Cyrus Kamyar Mahmoudi, a 25-year-old white male, died Wednesday, March 15, after being shot in Sherman Oaks, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Tyshaun Martell Craig, a 29-year-old black man, was shot and killed Tuesday, March 14, in the 6400 block of Brynhurst Avenue in Hyde Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 8:20 p.m., Craig was standing in the street when a black BMW drove by and a person inside opened fire, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido. The car was then driven away southbound on Bryhurst Avenue.

Craig was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:24 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Police are looking for witnesses.

Sonia Gricelda Barahona De Jimenez, a 42-year-old Latina, died Wednesday, March 15, after she was shot in the 6800 block of Simpson Avenue in North Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

At 7:50 p.m. March 10, Jimenez went to her ex-husband’s home to pick up a child the two shared, Los Angeles Police Det. Rich Wheeler said. 

The two got into an argument, and Jimenez’s ex-husband, Hector Jimenez-Garcia, a 56-year-old Latino, pulled out a gun, shot his ex-wife and then shot himself, Wheeler said.

Jimenez-Garcia died at the scene, according to coroner’s records.

Jimenez was taken to a hospital, where she died five days later, according to coroner’s records.

Update: The Los Angeles County Medical-Examiner Coroner’s office has changed the mode of this death. It has not been ruled a homicide.

Dion Dylan Glenn, a 50-year-old Latino male, died Monday, March 13.

Russell Orlando Baldwin, a 44-year-old black man, was shot to death Saturday, March 11, in the 100 block of West Montana Street in Pasadena, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

About 9:30 p.m., Pasadena police were called about gunshots and found Baldwin lying in the street with a gunshot wound, according to a news release. 

He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:29 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Henry Luis Ramos, a 23-year-old Latino male, died Saturday, March 11, after being shot in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Jose Luis Osuna Velarde, a 57-year-old Latino male, died Saturday, March 11, after sustaining blunt force trauma in Highland Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Dina Rebecca Enriquez, a 24-year-old Latina, was shot and killed Friday, March 10, in the 3100 block of Kenwood Avenue in Adams-Normandie, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Enriquez got into an argument with her longtime partner, who pulled out a gun and shot her in an apartment bedroom shortly before 3:30 p.m., according to Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido.

The couple’s children, 2 and 6 years old, were in the apartment when their mother was shot, Garrido said.

Enriquez was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:38 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Police at the scene arrested Steven Alexis Vargas, a 26-year-old Latino, on suspicion of murder.

Vargas was charged March 14 with one count of murder, two counts of child abuse, one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, according to the Los Angeles County …

Genaro Antonio Pastore, a 64-year-old Latino, died Friday, March 10, after being beaten in the 3600 block of West 106th Street in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

Inglewood police responded at 12:45 p.m. to a call about a fight at a house, according to coroner’s records. They found Pastore bleeding from his face and unresponsive. His wife, Maria Urriola De Pastore, also was seriously wounded.

The Pastores were taken to a hospital, where Genaro Pastore was pronounced dead at 1:18 p.m., according to coroner’s records. Maria Pastore, 69, fell into a coma and died March 27, records show.

Detectives said the couple was attacked by their daughter’s ex-boyfriend, Edward Fernando Ruiz, 33. On the day of Genaro Pastore’s death, Ruiz went to his ex-girlfriend’s house and attacked her, then fled before police arrived. While the woman was transported to a hospital, Ruiz returned and beat her parents, police said.
