Ronnie Revell Barnes, a 62-year-old Black male, died Friday, Nov. 2, in Downtown, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Sean Daveon Carter, a 22-year-old black male, died Thursday, Nov. 1, after being shot in Manchester Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Kenneth Lamont Combs, a 57-year-old black male, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, after being stabbed in Vermont Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Albert Ramon Dorsey, a 30-year-old black man, was shot and killed by Los Angeles police on  Oct. 29 in the 6300 block of Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 9 a.m., two officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division responded to a call at a 24 Hour Fitness gym in the area, police said.

The officers, according to the police account, were led inside the gym’s locker room, where a man, later identified as Dorsey, refused to be handcuffed. Dorsey got into a physical altercation with the officers, one male and one female, and a taser was used

During the altercation, the LAPD said, Dorsey was able to grab the taser, and also punched and broke the male officer’s nose. 

Police said Dorsey also forced the other officer to the ground and punched her, which prompted the male officer to fire.

Mischa Pinchuk, a 30-year-old white male, died Monday, Oct. 29, after being shot in North Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

David Ramirez, a 29-year-old Latino male, died Sunday, Oct. 28, after being shot in Vermont Vista, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Jesus Baena, a 27-year-old white male, died Saturday, Oct. 27, after being shot near Avenue 26 beneath Figueroa Street bridge in Cypress Park, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Brooke Lavon Jackson, a 40-year-old black woman, was fatally stabbed on Friday, Oct. 26, in the 4200 block of Carlin Avenue in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

Deputies were called to the home where Jackson lived with her husband, Dennis Ray Jackson, 47, and their two children around 8:44 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Rodney Moore. 

Investigators found Jackson in her bedroom with multiple stab wounds, Moore said. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:57 a.m., according to coroner’s records. 

Her husband was found inside his car, which was parked in the driveway, with a gunshot wound to the head, said Det. Marcelo Quintero. He was also pronounced dead at the scene at 8:53 a.m., according to coroner’s records. His death was ruled a suicide.

Donald Eugene Wiley, a 31-year-old black male, died Friday, Oct. 26, after being shot in Inglewood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Jason Zapata, a 19-year-old Latino, was fatally shot on Thursday, Oct. 25, in the 11800 block of Louise Avenue in Lynwood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

Investigators believe Zapata and his companion, Jonathan Flores, 24, drove to the south end of Louise Avenue, a cul-de-sac that butts up against the southwest section of the 105 and 710 freeways interchange, to meet someone shortly after 1 p.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Derrick Alfred. 

The two were in Zapata’s car, a gold-colored, 1990s Mercedes Benz. Investigators believe Zapata was driving and Flores was the front seat passenger, Alfred said. 

Deputies were called to the scene at 1:29 p.m. regarding a gunshot victim. Witnesses reported coming outside when they heard gunfire and seeing a light-colored sedan racing away, with three people inside.

Zapata was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head, Alfred said. …
