Christopher Navarro-Vasquez, a 19-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Tuesday, May 26, in the 1000 block of East Mission Boulevard in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner's reports. 

The shooting was reported at 7:33 a.m. in a trailer park parking lot, according to Pomona Police reports. 

Navarro-Vasquez was sitting in a vehicle with two other 19-year-old Latinos when someone outside opened fire on the vehicle, shooting all three men, investigators said. 

Navarro-Vasquez, who lived in Ontario, was taken by ambulance to Pomona Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:54 a.m., according to the coroner's report. 

Navarro-Vasquez's companions, who live in El Monte and Pomona, were taken to the hospital in private vehicles, investigators reported. They were seriously wounded but are expected to survive. 

Investigators said they had no information about the shooter.

Pablo Martinez Martinez, a 40-year-old Latino, died from stab wounds on May 26, 2015, after  he was attacked in the 9100 block of Van Nuys Boulevard in Panorama City, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records. 

Los Angeles police officers responded to a call at 10:50 p.m. on Monday, May 25, about a stabbing at a bus stop on Van Nuys Boulevard at Nordhoff Street, according to a news release from the LAPD. 

When officers arrived, they found Martinez lying on the sidewalk next to the bus stop with three stab wounds in his chest, according to coroner's records.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:57 a.m. on May 26.

Witnesses told investigators they saw two Latinos, approximately 20 years old, running from the scene.

Jose Alberto Orellana-Garcia, a 17-year-old Latino, died Monday, May 25, after he was stabbed in the 2900 block of North Broadway in Lincoln Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 5 p.m. on May 22, Orellana-Garcia was involved in a fight with a man on the sidewalk, said LAPD Det. Jose Ramirez.

The man pulled out a “stabbing instrument” and stabbed Orellana-Garcia once in the chest, Ramirez said.

Ramirez said that Orellana-Garcia and the other man had an “ongoing dispute” but would not elaborate further.

On June 2, Luciano Rodriguez, a 23-year-old Latino, was arrested on suspicion of murder. Rodriguez has pleaded not guilty to one count of murder with the allegation that he used a knife in the attack, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Joshua Cornell Brown, a 30-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sunday, May 24, in the 100 block of West 84th Street in Florence, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Brown and another person were standing on the southwest corner of West 84th and South Main streets shortly after 7 p.m. when they was confronted by two black men, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido.

One of the men pulled out a gun and began shooting, then both of the men fled in an unknown direction.

Courtney Haruko Arvizu, a 25-year-old Latina, was found dead Sunday, May 24, 2015 by blunt-force trauma in the 22800 block of Ninth Street in Newhall, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records. 

After family members requested a welfare check, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies found Arvizu lying on the floor in her living room about 2 a.m., according to coroner's records. 

Deputies forced their way into the home to help her, but she was already dead, The Times reported. 

Arvizu had been hit over the head with a beer bottle, according to coroner's records. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:20 a.m.

Her husband of two months, Robert George Arvizu, a 49-year-old white man, was arrested on suspicion of murder and assaulting a friend who had attended a party with him and his wife the evening before.

Leonardo Gabriel Ramirez, a 17-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, May 23, near North Virgil and Burns avenues in East Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 12:32 a.m., Ramirez was standing on the corner when a person walked up to him and shot him, said LAPD Det. Ray Martinez. The gunman fled west on Burns Avenue.

Jonathan Ford, a 45-year-old black man, was shot and killed Saturday, May 23, in the 1700 block of West 52nd Street in Vermont Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Shortly after midnight, Ford was standing on a sidewalk when three black men approached him and attempted to rob him, said LAPD Det. Dave Garrido. One of the men pulled out a handgun and opened fire, wounding Ford. It is unknown what was taken from Ford.

The men then got into a waiting dark-colored sedan and fled. Officers were nearby, which resulted in a pursuit.

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Aaron Cleveland, a 23-year-old black man, Davon Thomas, a 27-year-old black man, Orlando Ritchie, a 26-year-old black man, and Kenshan Lenoir, a 19-year-old black man, have been charged with one count of murder, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Donyea Davis, a 22-year-old black man, was shot and killed Friday May 22, in the 12100 block of Birch Avenue in Hawthorne, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., the Hawthorne Police Department responded to a call of a person down at an apartment complex. When police arrived they found Davis in the courtyard of the complex, suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which is aiding in the investigation.

Davis was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:36 p.m., said Ed Winter, assistant chief of investigations for the coroner’s office.

Brandon Christopher Berger, a 27-year-old white male, died Friday, May 22, after sustaining blunt force trauma.

Eric Von Young, a 53-year-old black male, was found inside a vacant building that had been set on fire on Wednesday, May 20, in West Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles County coroner. 

Los Angeles County firefighters discovered Young about 11:30 p.m. after they extinguished a fire at 9080 Santa Monica Blvd., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Jauch.

Young, a homeless man, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:06 a.m. on May 21. 

The coroner’s office has not released the cause of death, but Jauch said the fire at the building was deliberately set, and Young's death "appears to be related to a criminal fire." 

Deputies arrested Andrew Clark on suspicion of murder and arson on May 28, after interviewing him about Young's death.
