De’Ommie Alexis Falconer De La Cruz, a 28-year-old black woman, was shot and killed Saturday, Nov. 4, near Ocean and Colorado avenues in Santa Monica, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 1 a.m., Santa Monica police responded to a call about a shooting in the area, according to Lt. Saul Rodriguez. Upon arriving, officers found De La Cruz and three others on a party bus with several gunshot wounds.
The driver of the bus drove the vehicle to the hospital, where De La Cruz later died at 1:45 a.m, according to coroner’s records. One person was treated at the scene while two victims were taken to a hospital and listed in good condition before being released, police said.

A Rosemead man who authorities say led San Bernardino deputies on a two-hour chase has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting on Sept. 17 in East Los Angeles.
Investigators say Alan Patrick Pacheco, 42, shot 19-year-old Miguel Cabrera and his father about 2 a.m. following a party the night of the televised championship boxing match between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez. Cabrera and his father were taken to a hospital, where Cabrera died.
On Sept. 18, the day after the shooting, San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies noticed Pacheco about 12:30 p.m. driving a pickup with a stolen trailer, according to a news release from the sheriff’s department.
When deputies tried to pull Pacheco over, he refused to stop, and a pursuit began, with Pacheco eventually getting on the westbound 10 Freeway in Rancho Cucamonga, according to the release.

A 21-year-old Lynwood man has been charged with murder in a stabbing that killed a 16-year-old boy outside a Long Beach Boulevard laundromat on Sept. 11, investigators said.
William Escamilla of Lynwood was with his mother at the Free Dry Coin Laundry at 11904 Long Beach Blvd. around 4 p.m. when he walked out to the parking lot to get a bottle of water from their car, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Marcelo Quintero said.
Prosecutors say Justin Jaimes Acosta rode up on his bicycle and stabbed William in the neck.
William’s mother saw some of the attack when she walked out into the parking lot, Quintero said.
They tried to stem the bleeding by wrapping a T-shirt around his neck, and then she drove him to a nearby hospital, where he died, Quintero said.

Axel Miron, a 32-year-old Latino, was fatally stabbed Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the 2100 block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Exposition Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call of a stabbing in a McDonald’s parking lot at 3:45 p.m. and found Miron with stab wounds, LAPD Det. Dave Garrido said.
Police think Miron drove into the parking lot of the fast-food restaurant, got out of his car and got into a fight with a black man.
The attacker grabbed a knife and stabbed Miron multiple times, Garrido said.
Miron was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:18 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Jose Anglo Umali, a 58-year-old Asian male, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, after sustaining blunt force trauma in Westlake, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Angel Maciel, a 28-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, Oct. 29, in the 9900 block of Stanwin Avenue in Arleta, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Maciel was riding a skateboard south on Stanwin Avenue about 3:40 p.m. when a car pulled up alongside him and someone inside began shooting, Los Angeles Police Det. Ryan Verna said.
Maciel was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:13 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Police think the suspect or suspects fled in a small, four-door, green car.

Hovanef Papazyan, a 73-year-old white male, died Sunday, Oct. 29, after being shot in Valley Glen, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Alex Giovani Zepeda, a 19-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, Oct. 28, in the 1100 block of West Cruces Street in Wilmington, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Zepeda was at a party about 1:45 a.m. and had gone outside to hang out with other partygoers, when a person walked up and shot him, Los Angeles Police Det. David Cortez said.
Zepeda was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:05 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested Nov. 2 on suspicion of murder, Cortez said.
The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, which will determine whether to file charges.
