Justin Lee Fernandez, 28

Justin Lee Fernandez, a 29-year-old Latino, died Sunday, July 10, in the 900 block of San Bernardino Avenue in Pomona, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. 

About 5:30 p.m., Pomona police received a call about a stabbing victim in an alley, according to Lt. Hector Rodriguez. When officers arrived, they found two men, including Fernandez, who had been stabbed. Both were taken to a hospital, Rodriguez said. 

Fernandez was pronounced dead at 5:39 p.m., according to coroner’s records. The other person who was stabbed, an 18-year-old, survived, Rodriguez said. 

Detectives are investigating the case and are awaiting analysis of evidence from the scene, Rodriguez said.
