Youssef Mahboubianfard, a 100-year-old white male, died Thursday, March 18, after sustaining blunt force trauma near 17700 Alonzo Place in Encino, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Kevin Jan Snowden, a 34-year-old Black male, died Thursday, May 28, after sustaining blunt force trauma near Ventura Boulevard & Encino Avenue in Encino, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Bryan Jerome Woodson, a 35-year-old black man, was shot and killed Tuesday, Jan. 28, near West Oxnard Street and Aldea Avenue in Encino, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 10:15 p.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Valley Division responded to a call of shots fired at Lake Balboa Park, according to a news release from the department.
Officers arrived and found Woodson suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso, police said.
Woodson was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:45 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Witnesses told police that there was an argument between Woodson and another person in the moments before the shooting.
Woodson was homeless and slept in the park, police said.

Luis Ramirez, a 38-year-old Latino man, was shot and killed by a Los Angeles police officer on Friday, July 25, in Lake Balboa, according to authorities.
Patrol officers were called to the 6700 block of Hayvenhurst Avenue about 3:30 a.m. after getting a report that a vandal was in the area, LAPD officials said.
The department issued a release three days later: "When the officers arrived they saw the suspect (later identified as Luis Ramirez) standing in the front yard of a residence holding 2 sticks and screaming. The officers contacted Ramirez, who immediately began throwing rocks at the officers. One officer ordered Ramirez to drop the sticks and raise his hands. Ramirez refused to follow orders, so the officer activated their TASER. A second officer who was armed with a beanbag shotgun observed Ramirez advance toward the first officer at which time the officer shot Ramirez with beanbag shotgun …
Rosa Elvira Valencia Garcia, a 35-year-old Latina, was shot to death by her husband in their home in the 4800 block of Haskell Avenue in Encino on Sunday, May 31, according to authorities.
Los Angeles police said Garcia's husband, Pedro Papias, a 41-year-old Latino, then killed himself.
Their three children, ages 5, 10 and 12, were home at the time of the murder-suicide, which took place shortly after 12:30 p.m., police said.
"When they heard the gunshots, they ran out of the house with a cordless phone and dialed 911,” said Norma Eisenman, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
Papias was arguing with his wife in the moments leading up to their deaths, she said. The bodies of Papias and Valencia were found in the back bedroom. The children are now staying with relatives, authorities said.

Eric Lewis Liebowitz, 35, a white man, was shot and killed by Los Angeles police officers in the 5800 block of Balcom Avenue in Encino about 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5.
According to an LAPD press statement, officers with the LAPD's West Valley Division responded to a call of shots fired in the 5800 block of Jamieson Avenue. But they were later directed to Balcom Avenue, one street over. Upon arrival, Officers Alexis Padron, Dave Soissons, Brian McDonald and Jason Duplantis were setting up a perimeter when Liebowitz emerged from a house with a shotgun, the statement said. Liebowitz walked toward officers and allegedly pointed the weapon at them. Officers fired, wounding Liebowitz. They ordered him to stay on the ground, but Liebowitz got up and attempted to reach for the shotgun, the statement said. The officers fired again, killing Liebowitz.
