Keneth Baniaga, a 23-year-old black man, was shot and killed Tuesday, Jan. 14, in the 1700 block of West Exposition Boulevard in Exposition Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 7 p.m., Baniaga was in a car when he was cut off by another vehicle, said Los Angeles police Det. Robert Lait. Baniaga and the person in the other vehicle were “aggressive” in each of their cars and ended up pulling over and getting out of their cars to fight, police said.
The two left, then returned to the area, police said. Baniaga brought a knife, and the other person brought a gun, police said.
Baniaga was chased and then shot, Lait said.
Baniaga was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:29 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
