Rodney Lamont Hudson, a 29-year-old black man, died Friday, Sept. 13, after he was shot in the 1700 block of West Florence Avenue in Harvard Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
On Aug. 5, about 10:30 p.m., Hudson was walking out of a smoke shop when he was confronted by two people who shot him, said Los Angeles police Det. Dean Vinluan.
It appeared that Hudson was followed from the store when he was shot.
The assailants left the scene in a dark-colored SUV, police said.
Hudson was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead more than a month later, on Sept. 13 at 2:26 p.m., according to coroner's reocrds.
