Khristian Alexander Domio, a 25-year-old black man, was shot and killed Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 14115 South Crenshaw Boulevard in Hawthorne, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records.
About 8:30 p.m., officers from the Hawthorne Police Department responded to a call of shots fired at what they initially thought was a cellphone store, according to a news release from the department.
Three armed men walked into the store, which was actually an illegal marijuana dispensary, and got into a confrontation with an armed security guard, police said.
The security guard and the three men exchanged gunfire, police said.
The security guard was struck in the chest, but was wearing a bulletproof vest and was not seriously injured. One of the men, identified as Domio, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:46 a.m., coroner’s records show.

Clara Mae Williams, a 96-year-old black woman, was found dead Friday, Jan. 10, in the 11410 block of Hawthorne Boulevard in Hawthorne, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Coroner’s records.
Housekeepers at a hotel in the area heard two loud pops inside a room and called police, according to coroner’s records.
Police responded and found Williams and her son dead inside the hotel room, according to a news release from the Hawthorne Police Department.
Williams, who had been shot once, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:07 p.m., according to coroner’s records. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Detectives found a suicide note and a revolver near the man, police said.

Paul Edward "PJ" Foster, a 50-year-old black man, died Friday, June 28, after he was shot outside 14115 Crenshaw Boulevard in Hawthorne, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office.
Foster was standing outside his workplace, the En Effect Barber Shop, eating a bowl of cereal around 10:50 a.m. when a silver-colored sedan pulled into the parking lot, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Brandon Dean.
Two men got out of the car wearing dark-colored ski masks and began firing at Foster, striking him multiple times, Dean said. The men ran back to their car and drove away, heading west on Rosecrans Avenue.
Foster was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:42 p.m., according to coroner's records. The cause of death was listed as multiple gunshot wounds.
