Maria Victoria Regalado, a 69-year-old Latino female, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, after being shot near 3746 Oak Hill Ave. in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Shirley Evelyn Sanchez, a 42-year-old Latino female, died Sunday, Oct. 24, after being shot near 3751 Collis Ave. in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Marcell Jovan Merriweather, a 39-year-old Black male, died Sunday, Oct. 17, after being shot near 5700 Griffin Ave. in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Jason J Cortez Nativi, a 29-year-old Latino male, died Friday, Sept. 10, after being shot near 4235 Monterey Road in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Ricardo Gonzalez Pulido, a 23-year-old Latino male, died Monday, Feb. 8, after being shot near East Avenue 43 & Griffin Avenue in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Taz Buffington Rudd, a 56-year-old white male, died Monday, Feb. 1, after being shot near the E/O of Northbound 110 Freeway south of Avenue 60 in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Irvin Fidel Ocampo Moreno, a 25-year-old Latino male, died Monday, Jan. 18, after being shot near 4590 Huntington Drive in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Samuel James Gonzalez, a 34-year-old Latino male, died Thursday, Dec. 31, after being shot near the NB 110 Freeway at Avenue 60 off ramp in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Jerry Cambero, a 37-year-old Latino male, died Thursday, Oct. 1, after being shot near Avenue 60 on ramp to N/B 110 Freeway in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Tyson Robert Singer, a 34-year-old Latino male, died Sunday, Sept. 27, after being shot near Griffin Avenue & Avenue 52 in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Danny Paul Sandoval Sr., a 38-year-old Latino male, died Monday, June 15, after being shot near 3800 N. Monterey Road in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Arnold Aguirre, a 54-year-old Latino male, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, after being shot near 5568 Via Marisol in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Victor Manuel Cortez Jr., a 21-year-old Latino male, died Saturday, Aug. 17, after being shot in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Christian Anthony Escobedo, a 22-year-old Latino male, died Sunday, Jan. 14, after being shot by law enforcement near 3491 Amethyst St. in Montecito Heights, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Damien Michael Blakely, a 44-year-old Asian and black man, was shot and killed Thursday, Sept. 7 in the 5300 block of Monterey Road in Montecito Heights, according to authorities and coroner’s records.

About 8:45 p.m., Blakely, who was visiting family in the area, was washing a pickup truck parked in front of a home. A black sedan drove up and stopped, said Los Angeles Police Det. Jose Ramirez.

Blakely and a person inside the sedan “exchanged words,” then someone in the sedan shot Blakely, Ramirez said.

Blakely was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:58 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Police believe there was more than one person in the sedan, which fled south on Monterey Road.
