Anthony Humberto Espinoza, a 20-year-old Latino male, died Friday, Nov. 20, after being shot near 806 N. Maclay Ave. in San Fernando, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Omar Munoz Jr., a 25-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Thursday, Aug. 15, in the 300 block of Harps Street in San Fernando, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Munoz had moved his pickup nearer to his home around 9:30 p.m., and was standing in the street when a car drove up and someone inside began shooting, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Derrick Alfred.
It's not known whether Munoz had a conversation with the people in the car before the was shot, Alfred said. No one reported seeing the shooting, but some witnesses reported seeing a light-colored sedan speeding from the area, heading west on Harps Street, Alfred said.
Munoz was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:47 p.m., according to coroner's records. The cause of death was listed as multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators don't have a motive for the shooting, Alfred said.

Augustus Wendell Jefferson, a 28-year-old black male, died Monday, July 30, in San Fernando, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Albert Garcia, a 58-year-old Latino, was shot and killed by police officers Sunday, Oct. 8, in the 100 block of Harding Avenue in San Fernando, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
San Fernando police officers were called to Garcia's apartment about 11 a.m. after neighbors reported hearing a woman screaming from inside the apartment, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Joe Mendoza, whose Homicide Bureau team is investigating the shooting.
When the officers arrived, they tried to contact the people inside, but Garcia refused to open the door, Mendoza said.
The officers forced their way inside the apartment to check on the woman's safety and encountered Garcia, who was armed with a large kitchen knife, according to Mendoza.
"They attempted to spray him with OC [pepper spray] to get him to comply," Mendoza said, then officers fired their weapons.

Jorge Ortega Gonzalez, a 35-year-old Latino, was fatally shot on Thursday, June 15, in the 300 block of Griswold Avenue in San Fernando, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Gonzalez lived alone in a one-room building behind an apartment complex, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Mendoza.
When some family members came to visit him around 7:30 p.m., they found him inside his home bleeding and unresponsive and called 911, Mendoza said.
Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:45 p.m., according to coroner’s records, which listed the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators are searching for information about who shot Gonzalez and why. Nothing appeared to be missing from his home, Mendoza said, so investigators don’t believe it was a robbery.

Deseret Antoinette Favila, a 33-year-old Latina, died Thursday, Jan. 19, after she was stabbed in the 1000 block of Griswold Avenue in San Fernando, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
San Fernando police were called to Favila’s home about 2:55 a.m., where she lived with her husband, two children and other adult family members, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Mendoza.
Emergency crews discovered that Favila had been stabbed multiple times in her upper torso and were unable to revive her, Mendoza said. Favila was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:05 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
Investigators detained Favila’s husband, Jorge Casas, 37, for questioning and later arrested him on suspicion of murder, Mendoza said.

German Servin, a 37-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Friday, Dec. 23, in the 400 block of Harps Street in San Fernando, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Servin, who lived in Palmdale, was visiting his brother when the shooting occurred at 2:07 p.m. in the backyard of a home in the neighborhood, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Marcelo Quintero.
His younger brother was renting a room in a converted garage behind the house, Quintero said. A woman was also visiting the two men that afternoon, but investigators don’t yet know her relationship to the brothers.

Alan Paul Bartley, a 56-year-old white man, was shot and killed by police officers Jan. 11 in the 1700 block of San Fernando Road in San Fernando, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Bartley was driving a car on Hubbard Avenue around noon when San Fernando police pulled behind him in their patrol car, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Victor Lewandowski.
When the traffic stopped at a stop light, Lewandowski said, Bartley put his car into reverse and crashed into the patrol car. He then drove away, heading south on Hubbard, with the officers in pursuit.
During the short chase, Bartley allegedly drove through a red light at Hubbard Avenue and San Fernando Road, hit another car, then a metal pole, where his car stopped.

Mariana Franco, 23, was shot and killed early Sunday Aug. 24, 2014, in the 1400 block of Celis Street in San Fernando, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.
Franco was riding in a car with her parents and two siblings when she was shot about 5:50 a.m., according to investigators. Franco died at the scene.
The family had been driving to early morning Mass when the shooting occurred. Both parents were also shot and injured in the attack.

Shortly after 3 p.m., San Fernando police responded to a home regarding a man with a gun call, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which has joined the investigation.
When police arrived, an 18-year-old woman ran out of the home with a gunshot wound. As officers approached the home, they were confronted by a man, later identified as Lopez-Gonzalez, “who produced a handgun, and an officer-involved shooting occurred,” according to the release.

San Fernando police responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon around 3:30 p.m. and found the victim on the ground with multiple stab wounds and a man with a knife standing over her, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Perez was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead at 4:27 p.m.
Roman Maldonado, Perez's 30-year-old son, has been booked on suspicion of murder.
