Reuben Kenneth Lujan Jr., a 30-year-old Latino male, died Monday, Sept. 10, after being shot near the 2400 block of Palm Place in Walnut Park, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.
Christopher Ramirez, a 21-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, June 27, in the 7300 block of Pacific Boulevard in the Walnut Park community of southeast Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ramirez was with a group of six male friends who got into a fight with several other men in the commercial area about 9 p.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Mike Rosson.
During the fight, someone pulled out a handgun and started shooting, Rosson said, striking Ramirez in the upper torso.
Ramirez ran across Pacific Boulevard where he collapsed, Rosson said. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:59 p.m. from multiple gunshot wounds, according to coroner's records.
Rosson said Ramirez lived in Huntington Park and was not a documented gang member.

Antonio Perez, a 32-year-old Latino, was fatally wounded by a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy on Thursday, March 12, in the 2400 block of Flower Street in Walnut Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle that had been reported stolen about 6:30 p.m., but the vehicle sped away, according to a news release from the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies lost sight of the vehicle but later found it had crashed in an alleyway. Two people -- described by authorities as a Latino and a Latina, ran away.
A department helicopter spotted the man and the woman running through yards in the area. The man, later identified as Perez, continued to run from deputies. "When the deputies attempted to make contact again, the suspect turned on the deputies with his hands in his waistband," according to a statement from the department.

Alberto Cornelio Morales, a 41-year-old Latino, was fatally shot by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy on Saturday, Aug. 9, in the 2700 block of Grand Avenue in Walnut Park, according to county coroner’s records.
Shortly after 4 a.m., Morales was sitting on a bus bench when a transit police deputy attempted to contact Morales, who allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot the deputy, wounding him, near the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and Grand Avenue, said Lt. Holly Francisco with the Sheriff’s Department.
Morales fled on foot. Deputies, assisted by search dogs, found Morales three hours later in a trash dumpster the 2700 block of Grand Avenue, a residential street about a block and a half east of the first shooting.

Julio Ramon Solano and his estranged wife, Farrah Solano, were believed to have been arguing over the custody of their 6-year-old and 11-year-old about 8 p.m. when he allegedly shot her, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Tony Moore.
Farrah Solano was shot in the chest, Moore said. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Michelle Velazquez, a 26-year-old Latina, was shot and killed Friday, Oct. 16, in the 2400 block of Grand Avenue in Walnut Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's officials.
Deputies were called to the scene at 1:10 a.m. and found two gunshot victims, said Deputy Guillermina Saldana. Velazquez was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man was taken to a hospital. His condition was unknown.
Homicide detectives were trying to determine why the two were shot, Saldana said.
