Fabio Sementilli, a 49-year-old white man, was found fatally stabbed Monday, Jan. 23, in the 5000 block of Queen Victoria Road in Woodland Hills, according to police and Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 5 p.m., officers responded to a medical emergency call and found Sementilli on his patio “with injuries to his face and significant blood,” said Officer Liliana Preciado, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
Sementilli had sustained numerous stab wounds to his neck and upper torso, according to police. He was unconscious and not breathing when authorities arrived and was pronounced dead at the scene, Preciado said.
Sementilli’s car, a black 2008 Porsche Carrera 911, was missing, Preciado said. The vehicle had paper plates. Police later found the vehicle, and the case remains under investigation.

Hovik Krboyan, a 37-year-old Armenian man, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, after he was shot in the 4900 block of Medina Drive in Woodland Hills, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
A Los Angeles police detective told KTLA-TV that Krboyan opened the door to his home shortly before midnight on Sept. 13 because he had ordered a pizza. Instead, he was met by assailants who opened fire.
Krboyan was shot multiple times, according to Ed Winter, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
Krboyan's wife and daughter, who were inside the home, were not harmed. Detectives interviewed neighbors who reported hearing gunshots, according to a news release from the LAPD.
Police think Krboyan knew the assailants. The pizza delivery arrived minutes after the shooting, KTLA-TV reported.

Caroline Sue Purviance, a 61-year-old white woman, was found dead Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, in the 5600 block of Mason Avenue in Woodland Hills, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Officers responded to a single-family home shortly before 8:30 p.m. and found Purviance in a bedroom, said LAPD Det. Dave Peteque.
She was pronounced dead at 8:30 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
Police believe Purviance’s body had been in the bedroom for about 24 hours. Coroner's records state an autopsy showed that Purviance died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators later found that Laura L. Purviance, contacted her mother Feb. 13 and asked her for a ride somewhere, Peteque said. After they ran the errand, the two walked inside the daughter’s bedroom.
As the mother played with her cell phone with her back turned toward her daughter, she was shot, Peteque said.
