$50,000 reward offered in death of Francisco Ayala-Mejia
Los Angeles police have announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the "identity, arrest and prosecution of the person or persons" responsible for the shooting death of Francisco Ayala-Mejia, a 25-year-old Latino.
Ayala-Mieja was fatally wounded as he pulled away from the curb in his white Honda Civic in the 4600 block of Berryman in Del Rey on Aug. 17. The shooting took place about 12:30 a.m., according to the LAPD. After he was shot, Ayala-Meija's vehicle hit a parked car.
Anyone with information about the killing is asked to contact Detectives L. Carranza or K. Pierce with the West Bureau Homicide group at (213) 382-9470.
