An unborn child died Tuesday, May 19, after the mother was kicked three times in the stomach and hit in the face 15 times, according to Los Angeles County coroner records.
The mother was hospitalized after the assault and lost the baby, according to the coroner. The fetus was nine weeks old and the death was listed as a homicide.
