Adalberto Salcedo III, a 15-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, Oct. 17, in the 23900 block of Avalon Boulevard in Carson, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Salcedo was walking with a female friend about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Avalon and East Sepulveda Boulevard when they were approached by a silver or white four-door vehicle, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's department news release.

Two black males wearing hoodies got out of the car and shot Salcedo multiple times, according to the news release. They then jumped back into their car and drove east on Sepulveda.

Salcedo was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:54 p.m., according to coroner's records. His companion was not injured.

Investigators said they don't know if the shooting was gang-related, but they do believe Salcedo had been specifically targeted, according to the release.

Im so sorry for your lost so young and taken, robbed from family and friends that love him, these monsters with no conscious will soon have to answer and wether it be by the law or God you will get justice. I truly understand how it feels, its going on 4 yrs that I lost a loved one he was waiting at a bus stop on Anaheim and banning with his use to be girlfriend they shot to kill him (13xs) as well as the girl lucky she lived, shes healthy. He was 20 had a life ahead as Adalberto did. And to this day Homicide has not found his killer, I leave it in Our Fathers Hand. To his family keep strong dont lose faith in God or question, Why him? Well never understand why, the good hurt, and the bad dont? TIME!! Heals all pain and suffering. God prevails and there will be a time where ill be able to see my loved one, hold him, and so will you all....Keep the Faith.
