Adiel Quezada, 17, a Latino youth, was fatally shot outside his home at Avalon Boulevard and 139th Street, near Athens Village about 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 25.
According to a neighbor, Quezada had stepped out of his apartment and was in the parking lot when he was shot several times. Glass-encased vigil candles and two buckets of flowers were placed in front of the parking lot, where Quezada collapsed.
