Adolfo Francisco, 35

Adolfo Francisco, a 35-year-old Latino, died Wednesday, July 27, after he was shot in the 1800 block of West 5th Street in Westlake, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 10 p.m. on July 25, Francisco was walking north on South Burlington Avenue approaching West 5th Street when someone shot him from across the street, said LAPD Det. Ray Martinez. The gunman or gunmen ran in an unknown direction.

Francisco was pronounced dead at a hospital at 6:35 p.m. on July 27, according to coroner’s records.

Police are still trying to determine a motive. Francisco was not a documented gang member, Martinez said.
