Albert Barajas, 37

Albert Barajas, a 37-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the 1500 block of East 66th Street in Florence-Firestone, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Barajas was found with several gunshot wounds and taken by paramedics to a hospital for treatment, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

Barajas succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 7:58 p.m.

Sheriff homicide Det. D. Cheek, who is handling the case, said the incident was a drive-by shooting. The car was described as a black SUV.
