Albert Song, a 24-year-old Asian man, died Monday, June 3, one day after he was assaulted in the 1200 block of South Figueroa Street in downtown, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.
Song was beaten on the dance floor of a nightclub on June 2, said LAPD Det. Brian Putnam with the Central Division. He declined to give more information about the case, citing the ongoing investigation.
Song was taken to a hospital, where he died at 2:34 p.m. June 3, according to coroner’s records.
Song sustained blunt-force head and neck injuries.
