Aldwin Lee Ezell, 24

Aldwin Ezell, a 24-year-old black man, died Saturday, July 3, two days after he was shot in the 1000 block of West Avenue I in Lancaster, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ezell was leaving the Bamboo Restaurant and walking to his car about 1:40 a.m., when an unknown person or persons walked up and shot him, said sheriff's homicide Detective Brandt House, who is handling the investigation.

Patrons alerted authorities of the shooting and Ezell was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital where he died two days later on July 3, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

Det. House said no one else was hurt during the shooting. He also said several suspects are under investigation in connection with Ezell's death.

Anyone with additional information about the incident is asked to contact Det. House at (323) 890-5500.
