Alex Iraheta Baires, a 20-year-old Latino male, died Saturday, Nov. 7, after being shot in Echo Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

God loves his children. He loves us besides our mistakes and forgives us for all. Alex is home. I wish he could have enjoyed his life longer, I wish he could have had an opportunity to change it around, I wish they never pulled the trigger and let him be. God doesn't pull the trigger, it is man who points and pulls the trigger. God is there in Alex's home. I pray for his family because I know they prayed for him. I know his mother waited for him to come home and I'm sorry he couldn't make it. He was someone important to me for a long time. I chose to let him live his life, wishing him the best, but he was robbed. He was robbed from his life. Hopefully God brings justice to the mother who lost her son. I know that beneath this story there will be some positive out of this. Maybe not today, maybe not for a couple of years, but WE NEED PEACE IN LOS ANGELES AND ECHO PARK. Again, Prayers to his family. Just know Alex is Home, smiling down, watching over us, and he's finally free from this twisted world. I truly believe he didn't deserve it and justice will prevail.
