Alexander Aldana, 19, a Latino man, was fatally shot at 5629 Fountain Ave. in Hollywood about 9 p.m. Friday, June 6. Aldana was driven by friends to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department's media relations office said the shooting occurred after an argument between Aldana and another Latino man. The gunman and his friend ran from the scene, got into a car and drove away, Eisenman said. A woman was also shot at the party and was taken to a local hospital, where she recovered.
