Alicia Faith Todd, a 21-year-old black woman, was shot and killed Wednesday, June 24, in the 1100 block of East 21st Street in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

Long Beach Police officers received a call at 1:13 a.m. about a body in the alley behind 21st Street, between Orange and Lemon avenues, according to a department news release. 

Officers found Faith, a Signal Hill resident, lying in the alley, unresponsive. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics pronounced Faith dead at the scene at 1:24 a.m. with a gunshot wound to the head, according to coroner records. 

Investigators do not have a suspect or a motive, the news release said. 

The caller reported hearing gunshots around midnight, but didn’t call to report the shooting until going outside and finding the body, the news release said.
