Andre Bryant, a 22-year-old black male, died Monday, Sept. 18, after being shot in Gardena, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Dear Andre,
I miss you nephew. You had a laugh I will never replace out of my head! You were a wonderful young man that literally brought joy to everyone. You were one of the best people I ever met and I never heard 1 bad thing about you, EVER. You were very special. My best memories are when you were under 5 years old and you would always protect me from bad guys and Ironically I wish someone would have protected you from those bad guys. I am sorry someone randomly decided to take your life. You were helping someone that ran out of gas and some punk WITHOUT home training, common sense, morals or a life decided to take your life. Thank you to the witnesses that came forward, we will capture that devil. I love you forever and you are too great to ever be forgotten.
