Andre Flores, 21

Andre Flores, a 21-year-old man of mixed black and Latino ancestry, was shot and killed at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, in the 1400 block of Tajuata Avenue in Compton. He had just driven up to his grandmother's house in a new car when a mid-sized silver car pulled up, and a suspect or suspects inside fired several rounds, said Sheriff's Lt. Larry Lincoln.

"A nice kid," said Det. Mark Lillienfeld, describing Flores. He had no gang or criminal history, and was working at Neutrogena.
