Andre Pierre Warren-Cyrus, 18

Andre Pierre Warren-Cyrus, an 18-year-old black man, was shot and killed Thursday, June 14, near North Virgil Avenue and Middlebury Street in East Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., Warren-Cyrus was walking alone on Middlebury Street when one or more people walked up and began shooting at him, said Los Angeles Police Det. Ray Martinez.

Warren-Cyrus was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:05 p.m., according to coroner's records.

The gunman or gunmen fled in a vehicle toward North Virgil Street. Police are trying to determine the motive.
