Andrew Nicholas Porter-Mitchell, 21

Andrew Nicholas Porter-Mitchell, a 21-year-old black man, died Sunday, Dec. 23, after he was shot near Manchester and Normandie avenues in Manchester Square, according to Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner’s records.

On Dec. 20 about 11:40 p.m., Porter-Mitchell was driving a Mustang south on Normandie and stopped at a light at Manchester, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido.

A vehicle pulled alongside the Mustang and a person shot Porter-Mitchell, Garrido said.

Porter-Mitchell was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:35 p.m. Dec. 23, according to coroner’s records.

Detectives are trying to determine a vehicle and suspect description.
