Andrew Vicente, 24

Andrew Vicente, a 24-year-old white man, was found dead with gunshot wounds Tuesday, July 14, in the 12300 block of Gettysburg Drive in Norwalk, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.  

His father, Walter Vicente, a 49-year-old white man, was also found dead with gunshot wounds in their house. 

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department got a call about the bodies at 8:58 p.m., said Lt. David Coleman. 

The call came from one of Walter Vicente’s other sons, who had left his car with his father before going away for the weekend, Coleman said. He had come by to pick it up when he found his father and brother. 

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene at 9:15 p.m., according to coroner’s records. The autopsies are pending, and Coleman said the actual time of their deaths hasn’t been determined. 

Coleman said there was no sign of a robbery or forced entry to the house. Neither man had been restrained, and no weapon was found in the house, he said. Andrew Vicente was found in a bedroom, Coleman said, and his father’s body was found in the living room.

The father and son lived in a residential area, which Coleman described as a “blue-collar, middle-class neighborhood.”  Walter Vicente was estranged from his wife, who did not live in the home, he said. 

Both men worked as plumbers, Coleman said, but he couldn’t confirm where they worked. 

The California Contractors State License Board reports a current and active license for a plumbing business owned by Walter Vicente called Walter’s Plumbing, located in the 12300 block of Gettysburg. 

Coleman said investigators have few leads. 

“Everybody in the neighborhood seemed to have liked them,” Coleman said. “They seemed to get along well with people and we haven’t identified any disputes or issues with Walter or Andrew. We’re really at a loss for a motive or any suspects.”
