Angel Marquez Bravo, 29

Angel Marquez Bravo, a 29-year-old black man, was fatally shot Sunday, Aug. 11, in the 1700 block of Benedict Way in Pomona, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.

Bravo stepped outside his home shortly before 3 a.m. and was approaching his car when a person pulled alongside him and began shooting, police said.

Bravo was struck several times in the chest and died in the street at 3:01 a.m., said Ed Winter, the spokesman for the coroner’s office.

Police said the vehicle may have been a white compact car.
