Angel Steven Quevedo, 20

Angel Steven Quevedo, a 20-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, March 12, in the 2300 block of Fourth Avenue in Jefferson Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., Quevedo was standing on a sidewalk alone when a white vehicle stopped nearby and a person got out, Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido said.

The person opened fire at Quevedo, then fled in the white vehicle.

Quevedo was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:12 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Two suspects are believed to be involved in the killing, which police said might be related to narcotics.
