Anthony Lee Wilson, a 2-year-old white child, died Sunday, Oct. 5, after he was beaten in the 37900 block of 26th Street East in Palmdale, according to L.A. County coroner and district attorney records.

Anthony lived with his mother, Rosie Lee Wilson, and her boyfriend in Palmdale and was taken to a hospital Aug. 21. According to prosecutors, Anthony suffered “great bodily injury” from June to August. The child remained in critical condition until he died Oct. 5.

Rosie Lee Wilson, a 21-year-old black woman, and Brandon Jerel Williams, a 25-year-old black man, were each charged with murder and assault on a child causing death and torture, according to the district attorney’s office.
