Anthony John Simiele, 51

Anthony Simiele, a 51-year-old white man, was shot and killed Sunday, May 29, in the 38800 block of Calistoga Street in Palmdale, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Sheriff deputies arrived at a house about 6 p.m. and found the owner, Diane Asbury, a 48-year-old woman, standing outside. Inside the home, authorities discovered Simiele in an upstairs room, officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Asbury admitted that she had shot Simiele, her estranged boyfriend, officials said.

Asbury was booked shortly after the shooting. She is being held at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood. Her bail is set at $1 million.
